CB Winter & Sons offer two main types of soil product for different applications. Our general purpose soil is a top quality ‘sandy-loam’ soil that is mixed with a locally sourced enhancer (a green natural compost) to provide an excellent all-round soil product. We recommend using this soil for all general purpose applications including:

• Planting
• Pre-turf soil preparation & under-dressing
• All general purpose applications where an enhanced soil condition is required

Our premium soil is a high-quality superior soil product. This soil differs from our general purpose soil in a number of ways. Firstly the soil is sourced from high ‘peat’-based conditions (as opposed to sandy loam) and is much darker and richer in texture compared with general purpose soil. Premium soil is also not required to be mixed with any additional enhancers and is fine and pure in texture. We would recommend using our premium soil for the following applications:

• Potting
• Planting
• Top dressing of turf in the Autumn months
